KATHMANDU, Dec 11: Nepali Congress (NC) youth leader Gagan Thapa has stressed the need to bring transformation in the party. Talking to media persons after registering his candidacy for the post of General Secretary, leader Thapa said that he has registered his candidacy as there is a need to bring about changes in the party.
Stating that efforts for a common leadership will still continue, Thapa claimed that a change is needed at the party not just at an individual level but as a whole.

Stating that the understanding among the leaders within the party are very different, Thapa said that he has decided to join Dr Shekhar Koirala’s panel as it will be easier to work under his leadership.
Stating that he is in favor of making the work of party transformation easier, Thapa claimed that Dr Koirala’s leadership is needed to achieve that goal.
