Youth arrested for swindling people out of thousands of rupees with temporary police job promise

KATHMANDU, March 31: Police have arrested a young man on the charge of swindling some people out of thousands of rupees with the promise to get them recruited as temporary police personnel for the upcoming local elections.

KATHMANDU, March 31: Police have arrested a young man on the charge of swindling some people out of thousands of rupees with the promise to get them recruited as temporary police personnel for the upcoming local elections.


According to Madhav Prasad Kafle, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Saptari, the arrested has been identified as Arabinda Kumar Mandal, 23, son of Ram Dutta Mandal of Mahadeva Rural Municipality-2.

Kafle said that Mandal was arrested after a complaint was lodged against him for soliciting money from various people saying that he would help them get recruited as temporary police personnel.


Further investigation is underway, according to DSP Kafle.
