The cadres of banned Netra Bikram Chand-led Nepal Communist Party are said to be involved in the incidents. The outfit has called Bandh (strike) in central Nepal including Kathmandu Valley for today demanding the immediate release of Maila Lama, a key leader of the party who was arrested from Kathmandu two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, the Chand-led party cadres torched vehicles in Makwanpur in the early hours of Wednesday. Schools have remained closed in Kathmandu Valley due to the strike. However, public vehicles are plying the roads without any hindrances.
