Bomb explosion injures five at Nuwakot

NUWAKOT, Nov 17:  Five people were hurt after a pressure cooker bomb was exploded at two vehicle of the democratic alliance at 10 AM today. The vehicles, Ba 14 Cha 7041 and Ba 16 Cha 665 were campaigning for the elections at Nuwakot when the bomb exploded at Kaule Thana of Kakani rural municipality, Ward 5.

The bomb had targeted Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat and Ramesh Kumar Mahat of Nepali Congress. Mahat is a candidate for the House of Representatives from constituency 1 and Mahat for Provincial elections from Nuwakot.


Those injured are Upendra Mishra, Bhes Kumar Tamang, Sabin Lama and Ramesh Rai and an unidentified person. Those injured have been taken to Kathmandu for further treatment, Dr. Mahat said.
