Five, including Bhat-bhateni Supermarket owner Gurung, arrested

KATHMANDU,  June 27: A team of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) of Nepal Police has arrested five people, including Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket owner Min Bahadur Gurung, in connection with the Lalita Niwas land grab scam. The police arrested  Gurung today from his residence in Naxal.

KATHMANDU,  June 27: A team of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) of Nepal Police has arrested five people, including Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket owner Min Bahadur Gurung, in connection with the Lalita Niwas land grab scam. The police arrested  Gurung today from his residence in Naxal.


Gurung was accused of embezzling 299 ropani 3 aanas of government land belonging to Lalita Niwas. Earlier, he was on the list of absconders.

Meanwhile, the police arrested four more people in the Lalita Niwas land grab scam today. For investigation, the CIB has arrested Kaladhar Deuja, the then head of the Land Revenue Office, Dillibazar, employees Surendraman Kapali, Dharmaprasad Gautam and Bhupendra Mani KC.
