Nepal Army rendering relief to cold wave survivors

Jaleswor, Dec 30: Nepal Army (NA) has distributed relief to cold wave survivors in the bordering villages of Mahottari district. People here have been reeling under pain and are in a difficult plight due to the biting cold, in the district for the past 14 days.

Jaleswor, Dec 30: Nepal Army (NA) has distributed relief to cold wave survivors in the bordering villages of Mahottari district. People here have been reeling under pain and are in a difficult plight due to the biting cold, in the district for the past 14 days.


The Ranabhim battalion based in district headquarters, Jaleswor, has arranged firewood and tea to the general public in Jaleswor municipality, Mahottari municipality and Pipara rural municipality this morning, informed Jaleswor mayor Ramshanker Mishra.

Batallion commander Bidur Adhikari shared that the NA has come up with a warm-up initiative that included, firewood and tea distribution, taking into consideration the bone-chilling cold in Mahottari.


The cold wave survivors who were rendered helpless in the streets and open places have been benefitting from the NA relief package initiative here, locals said.
