TANAHUN, Jan 6: A two grader boy was killed in a leopard attack in Tanahun district last evening. According to Tanahun District Police Office, eight-year-old Pujan Sinjali Magar of Anbukhairani Rural Municipality-1 was killed from the leopard attack on his way back home from the maternal uncle's house near his village.
Sinjali Magar was a grade two student at Suryodaya Basic School in the same ward. Police said that his body was recovered some 200 meters away from the home when a search was conducted after the boy did not appear at home for a long time.
Lack of prey behind increasing leopard attacks in Tanahun
So far, seven kids have lost their lives from leopard attack in Tanahun district, Chief of Division Forest Office Kedar Baral said. Meanwhile, Thagiya Tharuni, 76, from Ratnanagar Municipality died after being stung by the forest bees on Sunday afternoon.
Tharuni, who was sitting at her home, was seriously hurt when a ball of bees stung her. She was rushed to the Chitwan Medical College based in Bharatpur but died while receiving the treatment, the police said.
