KATHMANDU, Sept 28: Police have arrested 16 people for charging more than the prescribed fares from passengers during the festival.


The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office made the arrest this morning from Koteshwor and New Bus Park area in Kathmandu.

All those arrested have been kept at Koteshwor and Gongabu police stations. This morning, separate teams of Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Ramshahpath arrested eight people from Koteshwor and eight others from New Bus Park.


Senior Superintendent of Police Rajendra Prasad Bhatt said that the arrestees will be investigated and action will be taken according to law.
