BANIYANI, Oct 13: Three persons died and two others got injury in separate road accidents in Jhapa district today.


Two persons were killed in the road accidents at Kamal rural municipality and one at Mechinagar municipality.

A cyclist, Bijen Rajbanshi, 50, died after a motorcycle heading to Kakadbhitta hit him at Mechinagar-7, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Krishna Kumar Chand. The incident left motorcyclist Abhinash Limbu, 20, and pillion rider Ramesh Shrestha, 21, injured. The injured ones have been undergoing treatment at B&C Hospital, Birtamod.


Two persons died at another accident when a motorcycle (Ko 27 Pa 3513) they were riding somersaulted after uncontrolled speed. The dead ones were Anil Kumar Limbu, 33, and Somraj Limbu, 22- both from Shivasatakchhi-8. 


They were heading to Damak from Kerkha along the East-West Highway, according to District Police Office, Jhapa.
