Shutdown partly affects normal life in capital

KATHMANDU, June 9: General strike enforcers have vandalized the vehicles in different places in the capital today.  Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist has enforced the general strike across the country today. As per the information received so far, protesters have vandalized a taxi (Ba 1 Ja 2206) at Tinkune, a micro bus at Manmaiju, a Sajha bus each at Tripureshwar and in front of Tribhuvan International Airport and a night bus at Kalanki in the capital, police informed.

KATHMANDU, June 9: General strike enforcers have vandalized the vehicles in different places in the capital today. 

Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist has enforced the general strike across the country today. As per the information received so far, protesters have vandalized a taxi (Ba 1 Ja 2206) at Tinkune, a micro bus at Manmaiju, a Sajha bus each at Tripureshwar and in front of Tribhuvan International Airport and a night bus at Kalanki in the capital, police informed. 

Meanwhile, police have arrested 34 protesters from Kathmandu, 14 from Lalitpur and three from Bhaktapur, said Superintendent of Police at the Metropolitan Police Office, Naresh Man Shrestha. 

The strike has partly affected the normal life of the people in the capital. RSS
