Photo exhibition marking indigenous lifestyle

KATHMANDU, Aug 12: ‘Indigenous Peoples’ Migration and Movement’, concluded on Saturday at Nepal Tourism Board. Marking the Indigenous Peoples’ Day, the exhibition featured photos by photographers Chandra Shekhar Karki, Laxmi Prasad Ngakhusi, Bijay Gajmer, Bikash Karki and Niranjan Shrestha.  The exhibition was divided into three categories: ‘Diversity’, ‘Women Empowerment’ and ‘Labor Migration’.

Speaking about the exhibition, Simrika Sharma, Public Information Manager, UN Resident Coordinator’s Office shared, “We organized the exhibition to celebrate world Indigenous People’s Day and to highlight the knowledge, role, and condition of indigenous people in Nepal. This is the 18 the edition of celebration.”
