Nepathya’s Nepali class in Boston

Republica, Kathmandu Upon landing in Boston, Amrit Gurung, Nepathya’s frontman headed straight to the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) premises, where volunteers were running Nepali classes for the Nepali children living in the area. While speaking with the children, Amrit expressed the thrill to have found Nepali children in a distant land. “I am truly encouraged by the endorsement Amrit dai expressed for our effort to run the Nepali Class,” said Samjhana Gurung of Tamu Samaj, one of the organizers of the show. “I hope the parents will take up the appeal,” she expressed.” The press statement issued by Nepa-laya further added that Gurung and his band Nepathya performed at Royale Boston, a downtown venue with a different group of Nepalis.
