KATHMANDU, June 14: Rainbow Collection Nepal Pvt Ltd, a Nepali carpet exporter, has been awarded as the Best Carpet Exhibitor at the Qinghai International Carpet Exhibition held on June 2-6.
The firm also received a certificate of recognition and also a cash prize of 1,000 Yuan.
Likewise, president of the Nepal Carpet Exporters Association, Anup Bahadur Malla, received Overseas Outstanding Cooperation honor at the event, according to a statement issued by the association.
China overtook Japan as world's top vehicle exporter in 2023
Governor of Qinghai Province, Tian Jinchen, felicitated Malla and handed over the award to a representative of Rainbow Collection Nepal.
Nanyang Filament Carpet Co Ltd of Henan Province, China, bagged International Trend of the Best New Carpet Award. The award carries a purse of 6,000 Yuan. Similarly, The Silk Road of Iran and Light of Faith of China were honored with International Trend of New Carpet Award.
Nepal ambassador to China, Leela Mani Paudyal, participated in the event, according to the statement. Talking with the Nepali exhibitors, Paudyal pledged to help Nepali exporters by establishing connection with Chinese businessmen.
An 11-member Nepali delegation had participated in the exhibition, according to the statement.
