KATHMANDU, Nov 29: The Embassy of Nepal organized an interactive program with the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industries (RCCI) at the RCCI building, Rawalpindi, on Monday with the objective of promoting Nepal's trade, tourism and investment. The program was organized jointly with the cooperation of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
According to the Embassy of Nepal, Islamabad, speaking at the program President of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr Raja Amer Iqbal underlined that both the countries, Nepal and Pakistan, can benefit if the existing vast potentialities in the field of trade, industry, tourism and investment between the two countries could be exploited.
Giving brief introduction of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he highlighted major activities and achievements RCCI achieved in last few years. He expressed commitment, of himself and the whole Chamber family, to do his best to enhance bilateral trade, investment and tourism between the two countries.
Addressing the program, Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan, Ms Sewa Lamsal Adhikari shed light on Nepal's provisions and policies relating to industry, trade, tourism and investment.
She thanked the Chamber for the willingness to increase engagement with Nepal and expressed her commitment to facilitate business communities for increasing business relations with Nepal.
She called upon the business communities as well as people of all walks of life to visit Nepal, highlighting the provision of Nepal offering free and on-arrival visa facilities to the Pakistani Nationals. Inviting the business communities to invest in Nepal the Ambassador underscored major facilities accorded to the investors in Nepal.
Ambassador Adhikari also expressed her willingness to organize made in Nepal exhibition in Pakistan in cooperation with the RCCI in near future. Different questions about the tourism, investment and trade in Nepal were raised by the business persons in the program and the Ambassador replied them.
Ambassador Adhikari, Mr Tirth Raj Aryal, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy, Mr Raja Amer Iqbal, President of RCCI, senior vice presidents, vice presidents, member of executive committee, former office bearers, prominent entrepreneurs and media persons were present on the program. RSS
