Morang police chief recalled amid allegations of financial misconduct

KATHMANDU, Oct 18: Superintendent of Police (SP) Nawaraj Karki, chief of the Morang District Police Office, has been recalled to Nepal Police Headquarters following allegations of financial irregularities.

KATHMANDU, Oct 18: Superintendent of Police (SP) Nawaraj Karki, chief of the Morang District Police Office, has been recalled to Nepal Police Headquarters following allegations of financial irregularities.


His responsibilities at the Morang District Police Office have been revoked, according to Nepal Police Headquarters. SP Karki has been reassigned to the Crime Investigation Department at police headquarters.

Although the official reason for the transfer has not been disclosed, sources claim that it is related to allegations of financial misconduct. In response, SP Rajan Limbu, previously with the Kathmandu Valley Crime Division, has been appointed as the new Chief of the Morang District Police Office.
