KATHMANDU, July 4: Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Devendra Paudel has said the government is committed to implementing the medical education fee chart it had prepared earlier. As he said, action will be taken if any medical college is proved to have been overcharging the students.

He urged the lawmakers to update the government if they have any clues of the violation of the fee chart by any medical college.

The Medical Education Commission is mandated to look after the business relating to medical education and in case of a university, its office-bearers will have such responsibilities, according to the minister.

Expressing his solidarity with the opinion of lawmakers that any move to resort to protests whether it was padlocking or a strike in university was wrong, and mutual talks and dialogues were vital to find a solution to any problem, he  stressed that academic schedules should not be affected under any circumstances.
