KATHMANDU, July 17: Keshav Tuladhar of Ason, Kathmandu, who was previously arrested on July 13 in connection with the fake Bhutanese refugee scam, was released on Sunday following an order from the District Court of Kathmandu. However, his freedom was short-lived as he was apprehended again, this time in connection with the Lalita Niwas land-grab scam.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Dan Bahadur Karki, stated that Tuladhar was arrested for his alleged involvement in the fake Bhutanese refugees scam. "Tuladhar, who was initially arrested in the Bhutanese refugee case, was released on a bail of Rs 1.5 million on Sunday. However, we re-arrested him after uncovering his alleged role in the embezzlement of government land at Lalita Niwas," said SSP Karki.
