CIB Spokesperson Hobindra Bogati informed Republica that an investigation has started against Prasai for alleged document forgery.

According to him, Prasai is under investigation for allegedly creating forged documents linked to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's name and spreading misinformation.

Prasai had held a press conference on Monday, claiming that Prime Minister Oli had invested nearly Rs 3.2 billion in a telecom company in Cambodia, and he had released some documents to support this claim.

The authenticity of those documents has not yet been verified. The UML and Oli's close associates have claimed that the documents are fabricated and are contesting the allegations.
