Blaze guts property worth millions in Rauthat

RAUTHAT, April 27: A property worth millions was reduced to cinders in two separate blazes that took place in Dadhimai Rural Municipality and Katahariya Municipality on Wednesday.

RAUTHAT, April 27: A property worth millions was reduced to cinders in two separate blazes that took place in Dadhimai Rural Municipality and Katahariya Municipality on Wednesday.


The incident took place after five houses located in these rural municipalities abruptly caught fire.

The locals and the team of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force doused the fire, a staffer at Gadhimai Rural Municipality told Republica Online.


Some cattle were burnt to death during the blaze. The fire that started from the field of the local Laxmi Das ragged through the cattle houses belonging to Laxmi Das, Ramji Das and Tejilal Das. The blaze reduced the cattle houses including one goat and the materials there in to ashes in no time.


According to Yogendra Prasad Yadav, Sub-Inspector at Area Police Office, Katahariya, further damage was prevented as the blaze was contained by the locals, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force with the help of fire engine.
