UNICEF hands over life-saving oxygen concentrators

KATHMANDU, Sept 11: UNICEF delivered a total of 800 oxygen concentrators to the Ministry of Health and Population on Friday.

Among them, 600 were provided with funding contributions from the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) and 200 through support from the US Fund for UNICEF and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.


The cylinders will soon be dispatched to various health facilities around Nepal to help strengthen preparedness, particularly in light of possible surges of COVID-19 in the days to come.
