Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has allocated eight of the 25 ministries to the NC. Earlier, President Sher Bahadur Deuba had asked the rival faction to give names of two ministers. However, the rival faction  refused to give names arguing that the number given to their faction is dignified.

A meeting of the rival faction held on Friday morning decided not to give the names of ministers until there is a respectful participation. "We have also told this to the President. We have also informed this to Prime Minister Dahal,” said NC Joint General Secretary Jeevan Pariyar, a leader of the rival faction within the NC.
