GORKHA, Nov 4: Subodh Basnet, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal candidate for the House of Representatives election from Gorkha Constituency No 2, has joined the CPN (Maoist Center). On Friday, Basnet announced he had joined the Maoist Center at an election program organized by the democratic-left alliance in Gorkha Municipality-12.

"The country's biggest leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal has come to Gorkha. I have decided to support him by withdrawing my candidacy," said Basnet. Stating that Dahal has a role to play in the development of Gorkha, Basnet said that he will join him in the election campaign.
