KATHMANDU, April 13: Prof. Dr. Khadga KC and Prof. Dr. Kedar Rijal have been appointed as the Rector and Registrar of Tribhuvan University, respectively.
On the recommendation of TU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Keshar Baral, the Prime Minister and Chancellor of the university, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, made the appointments on Friday.

They were recommended for appointment on March 28. Vice-Chancellor Professor Baral recommended KC’s and Rijal's names for Rector and Registrar, respectively, as per the Tribhuvan University Act.
Instead of appointing them as recommended, the Prime Minister and Chancellor Dahal instructed Baral to reconsider their names and their appointment process was prolonged for some time.
