Binod Rokka, acting chief of the Temperate Fruit Rootstock Development Center, admitted that police had seized alcohol inside the office. “They have recovered 40 liters of liquor from the office premises. I have already met the Chief District Officer and informed him about it,” he said.

The district administration had earlier received a complaint that a large stock of Kiwi fruit produced in the district was found inside the office. Rokka, the acting chief of the office, admitted that they had made liquor from the fruit for testing and that it was their fault not to get the permission of the concerned government body to brew the liquor.

The office is located at a distance of 13 kilometers from the district headquarters Charikot.
