Of 15,979 COVID-19 tests conducted on Monday, 1,897 tests turn out to be positive

KATHMANDU, Sept 6: Of the 15,979 COVID-19 COVID-19 tests conducted across the country on Monday, 1,897 tests have turned out to be positive, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

KATHMANDU, Sept 6: Of the 15,979 COVID-19 COVID-19 tests conducted across the country on Monday, 1,897 tests have turned out to be positive, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).


With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 test tally has reached 856,218 including 728,928 recoveries and 10,858 deaths.

According to the MoHP, a total of 11,609 PCR and 4,370 antigen tests were conducted on Monday. Of them, 1,488 PCR and 409 antigen tests turned out positive for the COVID-19.


There are currently 30,973 active cases of COVID-19 across the country as of Monday afternoon. Of them, 28,911 are in home isolation, 2,062 in institutional isolation, 512 in ICUs and 163 on ventilators.


Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 606 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday. Of them, 418 were detected in Kathmandu, 101 in Bhaktapur and 87 in Lalitpur districts.
