KATHMANDU, May 11: A hospital in Kathmandu has asked the patients, who are undergoing treatment for COVID-19, to get discharged before 4 PM on Tuesday owing to the acute crunch of life-saving medical oxygen.
Issuing a press statement earlier on Tuesday, Nepal Medical College and Teaching Hospital asked the patients and their relatives to make necessary arrangements as the stock of oxygen at the hospital can serve only until 4PM.

According to the hospital, the regular supply of oxygen has been disrupted due to technical errors on a machine of its supplier—Sopan Pharmaceuticals Limited.
The hospital also stated that medical oxygen cannot be brought in from other suppliers, either.
