NEFIN stages protest against PSC exam in Butwal

BUTWAL, July 20: Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) has staged protest in Butwal against the exams being conducted by Public Service Commission(PSC) for different administrative positions to be filled at the local levels.

BUTWAL, July 20: Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) has staged protest in Butwal against the exams being conducted by Public Service Commission(PSC) for different administrative positions to be filled at the local levels.


NEFIN members and their supporters staged protest in front of Sidhdeswori Secondary School selected as the exam center chanting different slogans against the government.

They continued their protest until the exam was over. Addressing a gathering of protestors, Dipak Gurung, the coordinator of the provincial level branch of NEFIN based in Province-5, Bimal Saru, the chairperson of Nepal Magar Association based in Province-7 and other activists demanded that the exams being conducted by the PSC be cancelled.


Protesters are still staging protest in Butwal because the exams for other positions are still going on.


Political activists advocating the rights of marginalized groups have been staging different protests against the PSC’s announcement of vacancies for different administrative positions to be filled at the local level following the government’s recommendation.
