Ncell plans to clear outstanding dues by June this year, says Secretary Dhungana

KATHMANDU, Feb 2: Revenue Secretary Shiva Kumar Dungana said on Sunday that Ncell has submitted a plan to the Large Taxpayers’ Office in a bid to clear all its dues by June this year.

KATHMANDU, Feb 2: Revenue Secretary Shiva Kumar Dungana said on Sunday that Ncell has submitted a plan to the Large Taxpayers’ Office in a bid to clear all its dues by June this year.


Speaking at the Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee, the secretary urged the LTO to make an arrangement for Ncell, a private telecom company, to pay capital gain tax in four installments. The Ncell has outstanding dues of around Rs 22.44 billion.

Secretary Dungana said that Ncell has already paid 20 percent of total tax as per the Supreme Court order and has committed to pay the remaining 80 percent of total tax within June 2020 in four installments.
