Narcotics recovered from Patanjali detergent packets by Sindhuli police

SINDHULI, Dec 8: Sindhuli police have confiscated narcotics concealed within detergent packets of the Patanjali brand. Rajkumar Silwal, head of the District Police Office, Sindhuli, informed Republica that 3,000 ampoules of narcotic drugs were seized from Kamalamai Municipality-6, Majhitar, on Thursday.

SINDHULI, Dec 8: Sindhuli police have confiscated narcotics concealed within detergent packets of the Patanjali brand. Rajkumar Silwal, head of the District Police Office, Sindhuli, informed Republica that 3,000 ampoules of narcotic drugs were seized from Kamalamai Municipality-6, Majhitar, on Thursday.


Acting on specific information regarding three suspicious sacks and one bag on the roadside of BP Highway at Majhitar, the police seized 1,000 ampoules of diazepam, 1,000 ampoules of promethazine injection, and 1,000 ampoules of Nuphen, along with Patanjali's detergent.

"It has been observed that drugs are being trafficked inside Patanjali’s detergent," stated District Police Office Sindhuli Chief SP Silwal. Police confiscated three sacks and a bag with 'Patanjali' written on it, and a diary with some suspicious mobile numbers was also found.


The police emphasized that drug control measures and actions have been intensified. Necessary investigations are being conducted based on the seized drugs, according to the police.
