Ram Avatar Kurmi, 65, was made captive in a forest at Biruwaguthi after kidnapping him from Jigana Harpur VDC four days ago.

However, Kurmi had managed to break himself free from the kidnappers at midnight on Tuesday and hide in Aaurahatole of Madhuban Mathawal VDC until he came in contact with police at around 5 am today.

Following his appeal to police for rescue, police from the Area Police Office in the locality rescued Kurmi, said Superintendent of Police Gobinda Prasad Sah.
