KATHMANDU, March 22: Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Dol Prasad Aryal conducted monitoring in the Foreign Employment Office, Tahachal. On Thursday evening, the Minister himself reached Tahachal and inspected the Foreign Employment Office.
During his visit, Minister Aryal engaged with the staff to gather information about the labor approval process and address any existing issues. He had previously directed authorities to streamline and simplify the labor approval process.
In response to the Minister's directives, the office has upgraded 20 computers and implemented a three-shift working schedule for its employees. Additionally, the ministry is in the process of establishing a single-level approval system to expedite the labor approval process.

Under the current system, 15 employees are responsible for document verification for institutional labor approval, while seven employees handle approval procedures. For individual labor approval, the same numbers apply. However, the ministry plans to increase the workforce dedicated to individual labor approval to 22 employees.
Furthermore, the ministry intends to allocate a fixed quota for each employee for labor approval, provide approvals even on holidays, and adjust the quota allocation as needed.
To manage the influx of applicants efficiently, the office has decided to issue tokens for services only after 1 pm. This measure aims to prevent server overload during peak hours, which typically occur between 9AM and 1PM.
Currently, the office receives 1,500 to 2,000 re-employment permit applications daily, along with 1,000 new work permit applications. It processes labor approvals accordingly.
In cases where applicants fail to submit required documents within three days, the same token is recognized upon submission. However, if documents are not submitted within the specified timeframe, applicants are required to obtain a new token.
