KATHMANDU, Aug 21: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has recently enacted changes in the roles and responsibilities of its department chiefs. A meeting chaired by the Chief Administrative Office of KMC convened last Friday took a decision to reshuffle the duties and responsibilities of senior officials of the metropolis.

In line with this decision, Namraj Dhakal, formerly the Chief of the Information Technology Department, has been reassigned to the procurement unit. Similarly, Dr. Shivraj Adhikari, the Chief of the purchasing unit, has taken on the role of overseeing the Public Private Partnership Unit.
Likewise, Mahesh Kafle, who previously headed the Public Private Partnership Unit, has undergone a transfer to the Information Technology Department.
