Khalistani campaign leader Amritpal Singh arrested in Punjab, India

KATHMANDU, April 23: Khalistan separatist leader Amritpal Singh has been arrested in Punjab, India. According to Indian media reports, he was arrested from Rod village in Moga on Sunday morning.

KATHMANDU, April 23: Khalistan separatist leader Amritpal Singh has been arrested in Punjab, India. According to Indian media reports, he was arrested from Rod village in Moga on Sunday morning.


Indian media citing the Punjab Police said he was arrested this morning. Earlier, the Government of India had asked for a search amid suspicion that he might have come to Nepal.

According to the news published by Hindustan Times quoting police sources, Singh was arrested by the Punjab Police and the National Investigation Team under the National Security Act. 


Suspecting that Singh might be living in Nepal, the Nepali security personnel had also upped vigilance against him after the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu requested the Nepal government to search for him.
