HUMLA, March 16: Humla experienced heavy snowfall on Thursday. The freezing temperature along with snowfall has affected daily activities of people in the district. However, farmers are happy as the snowfall would help contribute to grow crops and vegetables in the district.

Following the snowfall, vehicles and air services to and from the the district's only airport at Simikot has affected. Regular flights to Nepalgunj and Surkhet from Humla could not take place due to snowfall. The temperature has fallen down to minus 10 degrees. Now the headquarter is covered with 5 inches snow and the Himalayans are all covered with thick white snow.
