KATHMANDU, June 8: Heat waves (Lu) are likely to prevail in Terai for another five days.
On Wednesday, the Meteorological Forecasting Division released a special bulletin and said that the Lu will continue in the Terai area for the next five days.

The Hydrology and Meteorology Department has also suggested not to go out of the house except for essential work. As it will take a few more days for this year's monsoon to arrive in Nepal, the heat will increase even more, the department said.
According to the division, problems such as fatigue, weakness, excessive thirst, headache, leg cramps, dizziness, fainting, muscle pain, and vomiting can be seen when exposed to hot air.
In order to avoid heat stroke, people are requested to stay indoors in a cool place during hot weather, not to go outside too much, wear light clothes, wear cotton clothes, cover the head when going out, wear a hat, frequently drink water and soft drinks (juice, syrup, etc.) The department has requested to drink plenty of water.
