Former Indian cricketer Manoj Prabhakar is the new head coach of Nepali National Cricket Team

KATHMANDU, August 8: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) appointed former Indian cricketer Manoj Prabhakar as the head coach of the national team on Monday. The post of head coach was vacant after the resignation of Pubudu Dassanayake.

KATHMANDU, August 8: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) appointed former Indian cricketer Manoj Prabhakar as the head coach of the national team on Monday. The post of head coach was vacant after the resignation of Pubudu Dassanayake.


Prabhakar has played 39 Test matches and 130 One Day Internationals for India. As a Coach, he has the experience of working as the coach of Afghanistan Cricket Team along with Ranji Trophy teams of Delhi, Rajasthan and the UP Cricket Association.

“Seeing the interest for cricket in Nepal, their talent & skill level, I’m really looking forward to working with the Nepal cricket team to make them into a cricketing force to be reckoned with,” CAN’s Facebook post quoted Prabhakar as saying.
