KATHMANDU, April 7: Flight operations at the Simara Airport have been impacted on Sunday due to poor visibility in the Terai region.


Scheduled flights to and from Simara are experiencing delays today. Buddha Air, a private airline company, has reported that flights to Simara have been disrupted since the morning owing to poor visibility.

The reduced visibility around the Simara Airport is attributed to smoke from local fires and agricultural burning practices by farmers in the area. However, flights at other airports in the Terai region are operating as usual, according to the airline.
