Federal MP Shah seriously injured in clash over land dispute

KATHMANDU, March 26: A member of the federal parliament, Pramod Shah was seriously injured in a clash between two groups of locals over a dispute related to a piece of land in Ishwarpur Municipality of Sarlahi on Saturday morning.


Shah was injured in the clash which took place during the discussion on the collapsed building of Phuljhor Youth Club during the expansion of the Phuljhor-Tribhuvan Nagar road section and the construction of the club building on the remaining land.

The discussion escalated into a scuffle when MP Shah arrived while discussions were going on about constructing the club building. According to the police, someone hit the member of the federal parliament Shah in the head with an iron bar when the clash erupted.


According to police, Shah is undergoing treatment at Amrit Healthcare Hospital in Bayalbas.
