BANEPA, Sept 11: Minister for Home Affairs, Ram Bahadur Thapa, has said that development and prosperity are the necessity of the nation.
At the 51st establishment day and 37th annual general meeting organized by District Cooperative Association in Banepa, Home Minister expressed the belief that the activities of the cooperatives would play a significant role in the campaign of development and prosperity of the country.

He said, "Development and prosperity is socialism, which can bring economic changes in the country."
On the occasion, various personalities and organizations were honored for their significant contribution to the District Cooperative Association since its establishment.
Similarly, Home Minister Thapa released the second edition of 'Juino', a special issue published by the Association.
Meanwhile, talking briefly to media persons, he said that investigation was underway regarding the resignation of Birendra Bahadur KC, a member of a probe committee formed to carry out an investigation into the Nirmala Panta murder case.
Home Minister Thapa further said that reshuffle in the cabinet was only a rumor. RSS
