Biplav Maoists halt food supplies, Humla, Mugu under food shortage

HUMLA, Jan 21: For the past 10 days, the Biplav led Maoist faction have seized daily food supplies and 300 mules in Humla and Mugu.  The move comes after local administration collected tax during transportation.

The halt in food supply has created shortage in two of the most remote districts of the country, Krishna Rokaya, chairperson of Sarkegad rural municipality said. Humla and Mugu’s district chiefs said that they were unaware of the shortage  and would look into the issue.
