2nd Water color Festival: Connecting art and tourism

‘Second International water color Festival’ is going to be held in Kathmandu and Lumbini with the aim to connect art and tourism. International Water Color Society Nepal is the main organizer of the festival where 40 artists from different countries are participating in the festival, including America, India, China, Albania, Australia and Germany.

‘Second International water color Festival’ is going to be held in Kathmandu and Lumbini with the aim to connect art and tourism. International Water Color Society Nepal is the main organizer of the festival where 40 artists from different countries are participating in the festival, including America, India, China, Albania, Australia and Germany. NB Gurung, President of the Society, stated that not just arts, participants in the festival will contribute something for the tourism industry of the country. Nepal tourism board has partnered for the festival.

The water color festival is slated for Monday to Sunday. The inauguration will be in the capital and will ignite the workshop. The first day of the workshop will be done by welcoming international artists and also by organizing cultural programs for them. From the second day of the festival, four-day long art workshop will be conducted in Lumbini. Apart from the workshop, art promotion sessions will also be held at the event. After returning to the capital the artists will involve in making different arts by visiting different places of the valley. On the last day of the festival the artworks, made by the artists in Kathmandu and Lumbini, will be showcased by organizing an exhibition.  Treasurer of the society said, “The festival will help to promote art style, technique among the participants of different countries.”  Organizers claimed that cost of the festival will reach up to Rs 300,000.
